Galatians 1:1–10
Paul’s Purpose in Writing to the Galatians:
PAUL’S
1 This letter is from Paul, an apostle. I was not appointed by any group of people or human authority but by Jesus Christ himself and God the Father, who raised Jesus from the dead. 2 All the brothers and sisters here join me in sending this letter to the churches of Galatia.
Romans 1:1 CSB – 1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God —

3 May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. 4 Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. 5 All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
Matthew 20:28 CSB – 28 “just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
John 17:1-2 CSB – 1 Jesus spoke these things, looked up to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so that the Son may glorify you, 2 “since you gave him authority over all people, so that he may give eternal life to everyone you have given him.

6 I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News. 7, but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.
Isaiah 29:13 NLT – 13 And so the Lord says, “These people say they are mine. They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. And their worship of me is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote.

8 Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. 9 I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 CSB – 13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no great surprise if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will be according to their works.

10 Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.
2 Corinthians 5:9-10 NLT – 9 So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him. 10 For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.
